New Zealand Native Ferns - Stamps

With the success of the New Zealand Native Trees botanical issue, New Zealand Post asked Di and Stephen to design another botanical stamp series - celebrating the Native Ferns of New Zealand. Five ferns were chosen to represent the issue. Off Stephen went into the bush with Botanist Pat Brownsey from Te Papa, and Rewi Elliot, the Curator/Manager from Otari-Wilton's Bush - to collect live samples of each fern variety - so to ensure acccuracy.
